The new way to qualify as a professional accountant is here.

The Level 7 Accountancy/Taxation Professional Apprenticeship is here and BPP is leading the way – this new route to becoming a professional accountant will change the landscape of professional qualification training significantly.

Why is the Level 7 Accountancy/Taxation Professional Apprenticeship the perfect solution for you and your employees?

  • Multiple entry points: Programmes available to all, whether already studying or new to the profession
  • Professional qualification included: ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and ATT/CTA pathway
  • All-round development: Ensures professional skills and behaviours are developed as well as technical knowledge
  • Funding available: Costs covered by levy payments or 90% funded for non-levy payers

By providing courses that are familiar in the way they are run and aligned to the employer’s needs this new apprenticeship standard really is an attractive option.

Professional Ethics module

Relevant to the whole accountancy sector – at every level

From entry level recruits on a graduate or school leaver programme, through to those who have already completed some of their professional qualification training, you can tailor a programme of apprenticeship training that suits both an individual apprentice and wider business requirements. Employees at any stage of their career can benefit from this apprenticeship, gaining a professional qualification whilst developing the skills and behaviours to be a success in your organisation.

Complements all current accountancy training routes

The beauty of this new apprenticeship is that it can be adopted by anyone following a recognised route regardless of where they are within their studies.

Excellent all round development

By having guidelines in place that ensure 20% of an apprentices time is dedicated to development, the employer gets a more well-rounded and multi-skilled employee. BPP will clearly set out this development time across the apprenticeship programme and will include:

  • Professional qualification courses
  • Skills and behaviours learning development
  • Employer directed learning activities

It makes financial sense...

And financially, for the employer and trainee, it makes perfect sense. The apprentice follows the level 7 professional training path at no personal cost.

  • Apprenticeship Levy: You can use the funds in your digital account to pay for this programme
  • Co-Investment: Non-levy payers can claim 90% of the costs for this apprenticeship via a government backed scheme.

Employers will no longer be required to pay secondary Class 1 National Insurance Payments on Apprentices Salary (earnings below £827 a week, £43,000 a year) if they are under the age of 25.
